Don Vincent, President, Vincent & Associates, Inc. (Business Brokerage) 

Vincent & Associates, Inc. was founded by Don Vincent in 1975 to conduct business brokerage and investment banking in the Houston Texas area. Vincent & Associates provides business owners with assistance in developing exit strategies, and in the execution of these strategies through appropriate business ownership transfer. The firm also provides assistance in providing financing for working capital and business development needs. Additional services include business valuation based on a large data base of closed transactions. 

In the 70’s, 80’s, and 90’s Don Vincent was retained to conduct business acquisition searches for a number of major companies and prominent Houston investors. In these transactions, he took a leading role in the due diligence and contract negotiations. In addition, he purchased and sold several businesses for his own account. 

Don Vincent is a graduate of Harvard College with an AB in Applied Physics. He is also a graduate of Harvard Business School and took graduate courses at the University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, PA. While employed with the General Electric Co., he received an award for developing a system design that won a major spacecraft competition. He is a member of Rotary International, having served as president of the Memorial Spring Branch Rotary Club. Vincent was a founder and director of the Spring Branch Family Development Center and a director of Avance - Houston, an organization devoted to the needs of the Hispanic community. He has reasonable fluency in Spanish, French, and German.

Randy Wilhelm, a Co-Managing Principal, is a native Houstonian and is licensed by the Texas Real Estate Commission. He is responsible for overseeing the company’s strategic and financial planning. Spending the vast majority of his time on brokerage activities specializing in user/tenant representation, Randy works exclusively with user/tenants in the negotiations and evaluation of their office facilities, addressing such issues as strategic planning, lease renewals, expansions, relocations, acquisitions, dispositions, subleases, lease versus purchase analysis, and build-to-suits. 

Randy has been successful in working with corporate real estate managers, as well as officers of local companies. He has personally been involved in transactions ranging from several thousands of dollars to multi-million dollar deals. His experience includes transactions involving all types of companies, insurance companies, non-profit organizations, banking and trust organizations, engineering companies, and consultants. Randy enjoys working with both the Fortune 500 company and the smaller, entrepreneurial growth company. 

During his professional career, Randy has developed a reputation as a client-oriented, hard working and motivated consultant, who places a high priority on matching a clients facility commitments to their business plans. Randy and his wife Elaine have two children and are involved in the children’s sports teams, YMCA activities, as well as hunting, fishing, and golf. 

Advisor, Gordon G. Buffington, CPA, Buffington & Company, P.C. 

Gordon Buffington has over twenty-five years of public accounting experience in Houston. He supervised and managed client engagements with a Big 8 accounting firm and a large local accounting firm before becoming a partner with a medium sized local firm in 1983. He started his own firm, Buffington & Company, P.C. in 1988. 

At Buffington & Company, Gordon primarily handles clients having financial accounting and reporting needs. He oversees the audit, review and compilation needs of these clients as well as providing accounting, consulting and tax assistance. Mr. Buffington was in charge of the auditing and consulting practices of his previous firm for over seven years where he was responsible for quality control, planning, conducting and reviewing all engagements related to financial statement reporting or management consulting. 

Gordon also is experienced in business consulting including litigation support in connection with business disputes; divorce including testimony as an expert witness; business valuations primarily including privately-held, owner dominated businesses; assistance in business sales and acquisitions; peer review of CPA’s accounting and auditing practices; and service as an arbitrator in numerous business valuation, contractual dispute and securities related cases. 

Gordon Buffington is a member of the American institute of CPA’s, Management Advisory Services Division, and the Houston Chapter of the Texas Society of CPA’s. He has served as chairman of the quality control committee and twice as chairman of the accounting and auditing committee. He has also served on the board of directors. He is a member of both the Panel of Arbitrators of the American Arbitration Association and the Institute of Business Appraisers. 

Mr. Buffington received his accounting degree from the University of Houston and performed graduate level studies at the University of Texas in Austin. He was a National Merit Scholar and received a Peat, Marwick, Mitchell & Co. scholarship. 

Gordon is a past president and director of the Westchase Rotary Club and trustee of the Westchase Rotary Charitable Trust. He has also served on the Board of Directors of the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Houston.
